THE FREE TO LEARN PROGRAM

Free to learn is a specialised program at Next that does away with mandatory academics.

At Next we follow the revolutionary Big Picture philosophy, but because of the requirements of the IB, only around 50% of the time is spent in the ‘Big Picture’ mode and the balance 50% is still focused on traditional academics.

But in the Free to Learn program, the idea is that students will spend 100% of the time in the ‘Big Picture’ mode, which is what we truly believe in. This is only possible if we completely remove mandatory academics, so this program is only for parents who are willing to take that plunge.

BASICS

There are hundreds of schools around the world that have done away with academic mandates, and the students easily pick up the basics of reading, writing, maths at their own pace.

FUTURE PROSPECTS

When the students are in 8th grade, they will have options to pursue the IB MYP program or give the NIOS exams.
